How does Sparklewhite Teeth work?
We protect your gums with a gum wax, then apply a special whitening gel to your top and bottom teeth. Once the LED light hits the whitening gel then starts the oxidisation process, creating the acceleration and potency of the whitening.

How do I know if I need 20,40,60 or 90 minute treatment?
Your qualified technician will match your starting tooth colour to a shade guide of teeth, depending on where you fall on this guide will determine the length of treatment you will most benefit from. After your treatment we then match your new colour to the shade guide of teeth showing you the new sparkle white smile!

How long will the process last?
6mth-2yrs depending on dental hygiene, dietry habits ie tea, coffee, red wine, smoking, medications and age.

How often shall I get my teeth whitened?
Depending on your dental hygiene and how well you rinse after anything staining that you eat or drink will determine how often. We do recommend having the treatment 2-3 times per year to maintain the new sparkle white teeth look.

Is Sparklewhite Teeth safe?
Research has shown that if the teeth and gums are normal and healthy there are no adverse effects to your teeth. All equipment, dental grade gels and products are sourced from overseas and conform to FDA standards & ISO standards. All our teeth whitening technicians are fully trained & certified in Cosmetic Teeth Whitening as well as certified by NZCTWA (NZ Cosmetic Teeth Whitening Association) which regulates the health & safety of Cosmetic Teeth Whitening Standards in NZ. It is important that you have your teeth whitened by a NZCTWA member for YOUR own health & safety. www.nzctwa.org.nz

Can the blue light burn?
No, the light is a cold light and there is no heating whatsoever.

Who can benefit from the Sparklewhite Teeth system?
Almost everyone, except pregnant woman, people with gum disease, children under 15yrs, certain medical conditions or allergies. Every client completes a Medical form prior to their appointment to determine if they are able to have the procedure.

What about medicine, nicotine, grey or heavily stained teeth?
These stains are sometimes more difficult to lighten and will generally require more treatments than average. Sparklewhite Teeth will definitely improve and boost the colour of these teeth.

Will it work on dentures, caps and crowns?
Sparklewhite Teeth will remove stains from dentures, caps and crowns but will not change the original colour of them.

How long before I can eat or drink after my treatment?
Straight away, however your teeth become porous (like blotting paper) after the procedure, and we recommend for the first 24hrs to avoid tea, coffee, smoking, dark coloured soft drinks, red wines, berries, beetroot and curry etc. If it stains a white top then it will stain your teeth.

Do you use Hydrogen Peroxide or Carbamide Peroxide?
We offer both gels;
Carbamide Peroxide for clients with tooth sensitivity and the elderly or Hydrogen Peroxide on clients with no tooth sensitivity.
